Bio
The long-awaited follow up to 2005's revered Whole Hog for the Macho Jesus finds the band in fresh form with a self-produced full length release of Tod Weidner-penned songs and the addition of keyboardist Ken Hall and guitarist Tim Pritchard. The album brings the now-familiar sound of the five piece live band to record for the first time and mines new ground for Shrug, notably influenced by a musical period when British rock was pairing off with American roots music. It's not unfamiliar territory for Shrug fans, but certainly a distinction from previous releases and illustrative of where the band has ventured during a decade's worth of writing in between other projects its members are involved in.
