Orb-worshiping, buzzy, blissed out rock from the heart of the heartland

After lurking in the shadows for some time as a fantasy studio project for members of Shrug, The Boxcar Suite, and Human Cannonball, Sympathetic Buzz emerges with a debut aptly titled Superbloom, named for the great Superbloom of 2019 that saw Ohio explode in floral ecstasy. The ethos of this project was to work quickly and capture songs as they were being written, eschewing perfection with the intent of capturing the spontaneous energy emitted when a song is born. Superbloom is comprised of 3 fully arranged songs embellished by shorter compositions and sonic experiments that incorporate the bush sounds and meditations on the original melodic ideas that provided genesis for the songs. It’s a compact but cohesive listening experience designed for repeat play!
